Nacido el 9 de abril de 1977,Nueva Jersey.

Vocalista,lider y cofundador de la banda.

De niño le dio la espalda al canto, para no ser tachado como el niño raro

Solo le interesaba Iron Maiden y los comics.

Durante los ataques del 11 de septiembre en Nueva York

Trabajaba en comics y esto le dio una vision profunda para hacer algo con su vida

Asi surgio su primer cancion SKYLINES and TURNSTILES.

Los colores que identifican a la banda son el rojo y el negro

GERARD se habia metido drogas y alcohol pero ha estado sobrio desde

Agosto del 2004.Cuando no esta de gira , esta en terapia y le facina.

Usa un microfono cualquiera.el microfono necesita a GERARD.....

HISTORIA MCR

Historia

MCR fue fundado en el 2001 por Gerard Way y el bataco Matt Pelissier, quien fue remplazado tiempo después por Bob Bryar, ya que Matt no se llevaba muy bien con el guitarrista Ray Toro y la banda tuvo que decidir rápidamente a quién sacar. Se dice que Matt ahora trabaja como mecánico en un pueblo de Nueva Jersey.

El Nombre de la banda fue sugerido por el hermano de Gerard, Mike y esta inspirado en el libro Ecstasy: Three Tales Of Chemical Romance de Irving Welsh.

*Sus influencias son:

The Smiths, Iron Maiden y the Misfits

Su inspiración es notoriamente atribuida a las películas de terror y a los comics.

*En el 2002 grabaron su primer disco, titulado I Brought You My Bullets, You Brought Me Your Love, en el sello discografico Eyeball Records.

Después de la salida de este tocaron al lado de Sparta, Underoath y The Used, entre otras bandas.

*En el 2003 la banda firmo un contrato con la disquera Reprise Records para comenzar lo que actualmente es su segundo álbum Three Cheers For Sweet Revenge, que estaría terminado en el 2004 siendo ahora un disco de platino., sus éxitos fueron HELENA, I´M NOT OKAY Y THE GHOST OF YOU…

Cabe mencionar que fueron teloneros de Green Day en su gira American Idiot.
